Here are some of the methods I use to model window surrounds and window frames. Rather than make individual windows, I build an array of windows that become part of the structure which adds strength to the building. I align the window frets with two steel blocks, left and top and these become datums for gluing and if required also aid accurately cut windows with a vernier.
